Blog Tour: The Delinquent Crown by Sydney Faith

I would like to thank the author for selecting me to do this blog tour for her upcoming book and giving me the privilege of reading the Advanced Review Copy.

I welcome you to The Delinquent Crown Blog Tour where you will be able get the first look on this book and guess what? There’s also a Q&A with the author herself. Are you ready?

Synopsis:

Olexia is a wild and dangerous world filled with magic.

Miri and Nick find Olexia by chance but choose their fate when they step through the portal. A shard of glass and a hastily-written letter from their mother are all they have to solve their puzzling past.

In Olexia Miri and Nick find danger and unlikely allies, and with their help, they learn to wield their newfound powers and find out the truth about Olexia’s buried secrets. When the ruthless Council leader learns the siblings harbor a powerful artifact, he sends his bloodthirsty LaKaio soldiers to hunt them down at any cost.

With time running out and secrets about their past being revealed around every corner, Miri and Nick must decide if they’re going to hide away or rise up against the sinister leaders of Olexia.

Q & A with Sydney:

Hello Nargis! Thanks so much for having me, I’m excited to have you as part of this blog tour.
Q1: You started writing in your teens I assume? How was that process like?

I actually started writing around the age of 9 or 10! I did publish my first book at 18 years old though. I wrote tons of short stories into middle school and started writing novels in high school. I fell in love with writing rather quickly and it’s been the easiest way for me to express myself since.

Q2: What inspired you to write this story?

I first got the idea for The Delinquent Crown when I was lying awake one night. I was so excited by the idea that I had to get out of bed and write it down! As for inspirations behind the story, one of my favorite childhood stories was (is) Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I just love the idea of characters going to another world that’s full of strange things, and where the rules of our world don’t necessarily apply.

Q3: Do you have a career apart from being an author?

Nope, I’m a full-time writer! I do run an amazon store with my family though.

Q4: Do you love pets? Do you have any?

I absolutely love animals! I have a Border Collie named Bailey, she’s so hyper and I love her to pieces. I also grew up on a hobby farm, so we had cows, chickens, pigs, turkeys, geese, and sheep.

Q5: Any favorite authors and books?

Oh, this one is always so hard to answer! Okay, some of my favorite books/series are The Princess Bride, The Inheritance Cycle, and the Throne of Glass series.
Some of my favorite authors are Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler), Rick Riordan, and Suzanne Collins.
